A flashback is being shown of Reg being caught with another woman who is his other wife. Committing bigamy.

Reg then goes to his wife's apartment to ask her to forgive him. Asking her for a second chance.

She throws his things out of the window. He then goes inside and talks to her, almost convincing her to let him stay with her. She calls a cab for him to leave, he does. While waiting she punches him while he was begging for forgiveness.

He comes back to the house a month later to officially pack up and collect everything. She tells him to never speak to her again and gives him the ring. She sheds a tear. He cries in floods of tears telling her she is the love of his life and he leaves.

His father has remarried a woman. The other man, (Robin Kingsley) has requested a DNA test to confirm who is Eamon's biological father. Eamon and his parents have agreed to the test.
